A Decision Aid System to Provide Consistent Linguistic Preference Relations

چکیده

In Group Decision Making, the expression of consistent preferences is often a very difficult task for the experts, specially in decision problems with a high number of alternatives. This difficulty increases when experts are asked to provide their preferences in the form of preference relations because the amount of preference values that are required increases exponentially. This usually leads to situations where an expert may not be able to express all his/her preferences properly and consistently (that is, without contradiction). As a result, eventually the information provided can easily be either incomplete or inconsistent. In this paper we develop a transitivity based support system to aid experts to express their linguistic preference relations in a more consistent way. This interactive system provides the expert with recommendations for the preference values that they have not yet expressed. These recommendations are computed with the aim of maintaining the consistency level of the expert as high as possible.

On consistency measures of linguistic preference relations

Inspired by the concept of deviation measure between two linguistic preference relations, this paper further defines the deviation measure of a linguistic preference relation to the set of consistent linguistic preference relations. Based on this, we present a consistency index of linguistic preference relations and develop a consistency measure method for linguistic preference relations. This ...

Linguistic multiperson decision making based on the use of multiple preference relations

In multiperson decision making situations, it is quite natural that different decision makers who may have different background and knowledge will provide their preferences by different kinds of preference relations. This paper proposes a linguistic multiperson decision making model (LMDMM) based on linguistic preference relations, integrating fuzzy preference relations, different types of mult...

Applying incomplete preference linguistic relations to criteria for evaluating multimedia authoring system

MCMD problems with fuzzy preference information on alternatives are essential problems of the importance of weighting and ranking. Xu [14] proposed a method with incomplete linguistic preference relations method that decision makers obtain a matrix by choosing a finite and fixed set of alternatives and performing a pairwise comparison based on their different preference and knowledge. The objec...

Solving multi-criteria decision making with incomplete linguistic preference relations

This study proposes some issues to solve the Incomplete Linguistic Preference Relations under Multi-Criteria Decision Making. The proposed method has simple calculation and can speed up the process of comparison and selection of alternative. Experts obtain the matrix by choosing a finite and fixed set of alternatives and perform a pairwise comparison based on their different preferences and kno...

A Consensus Model for Group Decision Making with Incomplete Unbalanced Fuzzy Linguistic Preference Relations

We present a consensus model for group decision making with unbalanced fuzzy linguistic preference relations, i.e., assuming that the preferences are assessed on linguistic term sets whose terms are not symmetrically and uniformly distributed. This consensus model can manage incomplete information situations, that is, situations where the experts do not give all the preference values that they ...
